and giving up his money when he wants to make change,
and meanwhile all his tenants, are paying the rent,
doing jobs they hate, so that they can pretend
that they are moving forwards,
they’ve got money to spend,
except the money’s not theirs,
they’re getting more into debt,
because a Liberal property owner,

He believes sustainability’s the eventual aim,
and he is writing policy, so his party wins gains,
but increasingly his worry is making a buck,
his baby’s education, as expensive as it comes,
and meanwhile all his tenants are utterly broke,
no chance of buying houses for a life of their own.
and some of them are dreaming their utopian dreams,
but are forced into the serving of a liberal regime,
